Implementasi Pasal 22 Undang-Undang Nomor 22 Tahun 2022 tentang Pemasyarakatan Terhadap Pemenuhan Hak Mendapatkan Informasi dan Berkomunikasi dengan Pihak Luar di Lapas Kelas 2A Banceuy

Abstract

Law Number 22 of 2022 concerning Corrections regulates the rights of prisoners to obtain information and communicate with outside parties. This right is important to maintain prisoners' relationships with their families and society, as well as to assist the prisoner's reintegration process into society. This research aims to examine the implementation of Article 22 of Law Number 22 of 2022 concerning Corrections in fulfilling prisoners' rights to obtain information and communicate with outside parties in Banceuy Class 2A Prison. This research uses qualitative research methods with data collection techniques in the form of interviews and observations. The results of the research show that the implementation of Article 22 of Law Number 22 of 2022 concerning Corrections in Class 2A Banceuy Prison is quite good. Prisoners in this prison have the right to obtain information and communicate with outside parties through various means, such as letters, telephone calls and visits. However, there are still several obstacles in implementing Article 22, such as limited facilities and infrastructure, as well as a lack of understanding by prisoners about their rights.
