Abstract
This research aims to find out, understand, and analyze the implementation of the rights of inmates at the Class IIA Penitentiary Permisan Nusakambangan. This research uses a qualitative approach with data collection methods through examination and information using primary and secondary data and other methods related to research, as well as gathering information from interviews with inmates at the Permisan Nusakambangan Class IIA Correctional Institution. The research results show that the implementation of the rights of inmates in prison has been carried out in accordance with applicable regulations, namely Law No. 22 of 2022 concerning Corrections. However, in implementing the grant of these rights, the author sees that there are still several shortcomings. These deficiencies include overcapacity in prisons as well as obstacles experienced by officers in providing guidance.
