Abstract
To improve the standard of living of the Indonesian people, rapid economic growth is needed by advancing development. One element of this development is in the industrial sector. However, industrial activities that occur often cause environmental pollution caused by company waste. Law Number . 23 of 1997, the environment is a spatial unity with the presence of all objects, resources, energy, conditions, and living creatures as well as humans and their behavior that influence nature itself, the continuity of life, and the welfare of humans and other living creatures. The importance of understanding and handling waste disposal that is not in accordance with environmental ethics not only concerns the protection of nature but also human survival itself, so that the problem in the Company's waste issue is viewed from environmental ethics. Company waste has a big influence on environmental pollution because it causes environmental quality to decline and damages natural ecosystems. From the data, it is known that company waste can produce toxic materials for the environment which have a negative impact on humans and other environmental components. Company waste often causes environmental problems such as cloudy water, fish deaths, human poisoning and contains toxic substances such as: As, CN, Cr, Cd, Cu, F, Hg, Pb or Zn. Environmental ethics provides limits for humans to be responsible for environmental pollution by any process in order to at least minimize the pollution material to the permitted limit to prevent the problem.
