Main Article Content
Abstract
The problem of waste and environmental damage is a serious challenge faced by Indonesian society today. This article aims to explore the role of ethics in overcoming environmental damage caused by waste problems. This research combines literature analysis methods, field research, and case studies to explore ethical concepts and the impact of environmental damage related to waste problems.
Waste has become one of the biggest environmental problems in this modern era. In many cases, improper waste management can result in environmental pollution, economic losses, and even threats to human health. Therefore, it is important to understand the role of ethics in answering crucial questions regarding more sustainable waste management.
The research results highlight how important ethical awareness is in reducing the use of hazardous materials, encouraging recycling, and managing waste more responsibly. Ethical awareness can encourage individuals, companies and governments to act proactively in minimizing their negative impact on the environment. In other words, environmental ethics plays an important role in formulating more sustainable actions.
In addition, this article also considers social and economic perspectives in the context of environmental ethics. This includes considerations about fairness in the distribution of environmental impacts and how waste management practices may affect disadvantaged communities.
The implication of this research is the need to integrate environmental ethics in planning sustainable policies and practices to overcome the wider problem of waste and environmental damage. Thus, this article contributes to a better understanding of how ethical values can play a role in improving waste management systems and encouraging more environmentally responsible behavior.
This research also outlines the negative impact of unethical behavior on environmental damage and climate change. We analyze the central role of three key concepts in environmental ethics: environmental awareness, environmental ethics and social responsibility. Through this literature review, we seek to provide a better understanding of the relationship between ethics and environmental degradation and identify pathways to more sustainable solutions.
