Abstract
Unemployment that occurs in Indonesia is currently increasing, this unemployment can have a negative impact on the economy and social in Indonesia. The unemployment rate in Bandung Regency reached 151,908 residents, consisting of 106,884 men and 45,024 women from the total population aged 15-64 years, while in Indonesia the unemployment rate has reached 8.425 million residents. Therefore, the government and the community are expected to collaborate in making several efforts to deal with this unemployment. By using entrepreneurial methods and making new breakthroughs such as the creative economy, the community can overcome the increase in unemployment. Efforts that can be made by productive age to reduce unemployment are by entrepreneurship by empowering the culture that exists in each region. The advantage of utilizing culture to run a creative economy is that people will preserve their culture more, so that many people will continue to learn about culture and will create superior human resources and can reduce unemployment in the future. With the community doing the creative economy in the cultural field, the community can also create an independence in each individual and will increase economic growth. It is hoped that the community can utilize natural wealth, culture and creativity to promote economic growth, create jobs and always improve the welfare of the community and realize justice as has been autr in Bandung Regency Regional Regulation No.3 of 2021 concerning the Implementation of the Creative Economy. The strategy that will be used in utilizing culture to run this creative economy is to empower young people of productive age, with the aim of producing a generation that is qualified and able to face economic problems. The purpose of this paper is to find out whether the implementation of the creative economy in the cultural sector in the Bandung district area is running properly to alleviate unemployment and whether the creative economy in the cultural sector has a major effect on the number of unemployed in the region.
