Analisis Moralitas Dan Etika Menurut Thomas Aquinas Dalam Kaitannya Dengan Kontroversi Kasus Tuduhan Pembunuhan Kepada Jesika Sebagai Pelaku Pembunuhan Mirna

Abstract

Analysis with an ethical and moral perspective is needed in cases such as the murder of Mirna Salihin because it involves considering moral values and principles related to human actions. In this context, an ethical and moral perspective helps us understand and evaluate whether the actions taken in the case are in accordance with the moral standards held by society. Based on this description, the author finds two problems, namely (1) What is Thomas Aquinas' view of the theory of morality and ethics? and (2) What is the analysis of morality and ethics according to Thomas Aquinas in relation to the controversy over the murder accusation against Jesika as the perpetrator of Mirna's murder? This research was conducted using descriptive analysis research. The approach method used in this research is normative juridical. The research stage in this journal is the bibliography stage, which is carried out to obtain secondary data, namely secondary materials and tertiary materials. The analytical data used in this journal is qualitative juridical. The conclusions obtained are firstly Thomas Aquinas's view of the theory of morality and ethics integrated in natural philosophy, theology, and Aristotelian thought which considers that morality is based on objective natural principles, but also considers the influence of revelation and theological truth in determining good actions. As well as an analysis of morality and ethics according to Thomas Aquinas in relation to the controversy over the case of accusations of murder against Jesika as the perpetrator of Mirna's murder, there is the theory that Jessica Wongso is Mirna's murderer. Salihin emphasized that Jessica was responsible for Mirna's death and her actions were not in accordance with ethical and moral principles and Furthermore, the theory that believes that Jessica is innocent assumes that Jessica did not violate ethical and moral principles.
