Konflik Pulau Rempang Dalam Perspektif Teori Kelas Karl Marx

Abstract

The problem in this research is the conflict between Rempang residents who reject the Rempang eco-city project and law enforcement officials. How will the Rempang community defend their interests as a result of the Rempang eco-city project which will be realized by the government in implementing the National Strategic Project. The aim of this research is to interpret the Rempang Island conflict from the perspective of Karl Marx's Class Theory. The research method in this writing uses qualitative methods. The qualitative method is collecting data in natural settings with the aim of interpreting the phenomena that occur. Qualitative method with secondary data through literature studies from journals, newspapers and related books related to the research taken. This method is used to compile and analyze an in-depth understanding of the Rempang conflict in connection with the Class Theory put forward by Karl Marx. Marx had the assumption that revolution itself is an objective thing, must occur in human life, because that is the only way to change his fate. . The case of Rempang Island as a result of the rejection and resistance given by the authorities attracted the attention of the President of the Republic of Indonesia at that time, so that in the end the President issued Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 78 of 2023 concerning Humanitarian Social Management. Impact in the Context of Providing Land for National Development. The issuance of this regulation is a form of the government's commitment to guaranteeing the rights of residents affected by the development of Rempang Island. In this way, change occurs as a result of the resistance provided by the upper classes to the upper classes. In conclusion, class theory provides a framework for understanding conflicts between different classes in society. The Rempang Island case illustrates the application of class theory in a real-world context, highlighting the importance of recognizing customary law, adat and customary land to find solutions to conflict.
