Hukum Dan Perubahan Masyarakat : Pendekatan Filsafat Roscoe Pound

Abstract

This paper focuses on the concepts of Social Jurisprudence and Social Engineering introduced by Roscoe Pound. It then analyzes Roscoe Pound's philosophical approach that can provide new insights in understanding the relationship between law and societal change. The research method used is library research. The results of this study show that in the concepts of Social Jurisprudence and Social Engineering, law is understood as a tool to change society and achieve social justice, and Pound's approach to law and societal transformation shows that law is an ever-changing phenomenon because the values, needs, and demands of society change and also shows how social development and law relate to each other and also the evolution of law is influenced by changes in society.
