John Rawls: Filsafat Hukum
Main Article Content
Abstract
John Rawls' theory of justice is one of the main pillars in modern political philosophy, especially in building a just and democratic social system. Through the concepts of “original position” and “veil of ignorance”, Rawls offers a normative framework for the birth of impartial principles of justice that uphold equality and basic freedoms. In the context of Indonesian society today, Rawls' theory of justice is relevant to overcome the high socio-economic inequality, as seen from the Gini ratio and unequal income distribution. This research uses a qualitative-descriptive approach with literature study as the main method, to examine the extent to which Rawls' principles of justice can be applied in public policies such as social assistance and the constitutional democratic system. Rawls' theory is not only an ethical foundation, but also an inclusive policy analysis tool in modern legal and constitutional systems.
