Abstract
Health ethics is very different from medical ethics which states that in carrying out medical work a doctor must not be influenced by personal considerations, a doctor must always remember the obligation to protect the lives of human beings, a doctor treats his colleagues as he himself would like to be treated, a doctor must always maintain his health. The purpose of creating Health Ethics is that in everyday life, ethics is very important to apply. Likewise in the world of public health. Some people interpret that health ethics is only a concept to be understood and is not part of oneself. In fact, health ethics is very important to have and apply every time you deal with patients or clients. Health ethics aims to regulate how to behave in providing health services, determining rules that regulate how to handle a problem related to ethics so that it does not become something that enters the realm of law or causes punitive effects for oneself or the patient or client. Ethics relates to all aspects of actions and decisions taken by humans, so ethics is a very broad and complex field of study with various sub-divisions. Medical ethics is concerned primarily with issues that arise in the practice of medicine whereas bioethics is a very broad subject that deals with moral issues that arise due to developments in the biological sciences more generally. Medical ethics is also closely related to law. Almost all countries have laws that specifically regulate how doctors should act in relation to ethical issues in patient care and research. But ethics and law are not the same. Very often, ethics even sets higher standards of behavior than the law, and sometimes ethics makes it necessary for doctors to break laws that dictate unethical actions.
