Etika Berkomunikasi Serta Penggunaan Media Sosial Bagi Pelajar SMPN 1 Cicalengka Di Era Kebebasan Berekspresi

Abstract

Communication ability is the basis for someone to convey it. Communication skills must be supported by applicable ethics, because communication is a two-way relationship with other people. This article was published by the author because he saw that many students had lost their ethics when communicating. Supported by the increasingly developing technological era, the use of social media is increasing without placing limitations on expression for its users. Now social media is not just the internet anymore, but like real life and the only difference is that you don't meet face to face. Seeing the large number of the nation's young generation, the author conducted research on the extent to which students understand communication ethics and the ethics of using social media well. Using a survey methodology to one of the junior high schools in Bandung Regency, the author created a questionnaire regarding issues related to ethics. It was found that some students understand ethics quite well, but it really needs to be improved because there are several things that according to the author, the way they draw conclusions about something is not correct. Therefore, there is a need for classroom teaching by teachers and understanding provided by parents at home.
