Abstract

This article discusses the ethics of social experiment content related to the Ethical Theory of Egoism. In this day and age, content creation can be made into a profession, a profession that is understood by many people to be something related to a field that is greatly influenced by education and expertise. The aim of this research is to find out whether the behavior of content creators who produce social experimental content that exploits people's inner conditions by raising moral issues, simply for the sake of making a profit, is an ethical action and what is the impact on the nation's moral condition? This research uses a descriptive method. Therefore, this research focuses more on collecting facts and identifying data. The components of this research method include description, analysis and interpretation of the results clearly and precisely. In a profession, of course there are ethics that must be applied in order to maintain the profession and to serve as boundaries in carrying out a job. In the Theory of Egoism I only do things that I consider important, the motivation for someone who wants to become a content creator is because of economic conditions or profits that are quite tempting, so profits can be said to be something that is considered important, meaning content creators who prioritize personal profits above services, such as producing Content that is useful for the audience is an ethical thing, this is contrary to professional ethics which states that you must prioritize service above personal gain, so this will have a negative impact on the moral condition of a nation.
