Abstract

Human rights violations are acts or incidents in which the basic rights inherent in every individual are ignored, violated, or infringed upon by responsible parties. Human rights violations involve actions that violate universally recognized human rights norms and principles, such as the rights to life, liberty, dignity, equality, freedom of expression, freedom of religion, and so on. Human rights violations are serious problems that violate basic principles of humanity and justice. International organizations and institutions, such as the United Nations (UN) and Amnesty International, work to monitor, report and advocate for the enforcement of human rights around the world. Efforts are made to prevent human rights violations, investigate cases of violations, and fight for justice, accountability and redress for victims of human rights violations. The unconsciousness or misunderstanding of a person or group about human rights so that violations of human rights can easily occur, some of the things that tend to cause human rights violations are selfish attitudes, intolerance, lack of sense of responsibility, lack of empathy, psychological conditions. Indifference to the interests of other individuals or groups and lack of tolerance for ethnicity or others are causes of human rights violations which are one of the inhibiting factors in the process of developing a unitary state.
