Implementasi Nilai Pancasila Dalam Menghadapi Persoalan Rasisme

Abstract

Racism is a problem that is familiar and we often encounter in life. We are in an area that is very vulnerable to the problem of racism because of the wealth and diversity we have. The wealth and diversity that Indonesia has, such as various ethnicities, nations, races, religions, languages, cultures, skin colors, and many others. This diversity is the wealth of the Indonesian nation, but it is also vulnerable to conflict and division. Racism often occurs due to differences, especially due to physical factors, and the most common is suffering based on skin color. Skin color is often a controversial topic as many perceive that people with white skin are superior to people with black skin, leading to social injustice and treatment. Racism occurs because a group feels superior to the group below it and belittles that group. The purpose of this article is to inform the public that as citizens of Indonesia, we have one state foundation, namely Pancasila and have the motto "Bhinneka Tunggal Ika" where we as citizens cannot discriminate between race, ethnicity, gender, religion and others because we all one. This article uses a qualitative and descriptive approach, with data collection techniques through literature study from various sources such as journals, books, and articles. The results of the study show that cases of injustice such as racism and concern still exist and still occur frequently in Indonesia. In fact, Pancasila as the basis of the state emphasizes in the 2nd, 3rd and 5th Precepts that everyone has the right to a just and civilized humanity, Indonesian unity and social justice for all Indonesian people. To prevent racism from occurring, it is necessary to implement Pancasila more closely in the lives of Indonesian people.
