Abstract
Advocates can be a channel for giving birth to corruption, but also as individuals who can eradicate corruption. This needs to be prevented by having good morals and ethics, and the application of a code of ethics in the legal profession is important because it is a form of moral resilience in the Advocate profession. The writing method that will be used is the normative juridical method, namely by using sources of legal material in the form of laws and regulations, court decisions/decisions, contracts/contracts, legal principles and principles, legal theory, and doctrines/opinions of legal experts. Data collection technique using literature study is the study of written information about law originating from various sources and widely published and needed. code of ethics so as not to cause violations of the code of ethics, and to find out how the advocate profession and its code of ethics are. It turns out that morals and ethics affect the code of ethics, because the code of ethics comes from morals and ethics. There are causal factors that cause violations of the code of ethics, namely the influence of kinship, which will privilege the family. The influence of popularity, the more popular an Advocate is, the more expensive he will be paid. So sometimes advocates who are not good will try to increase their popularity in bad ways. Weak influence of faith. One of the conditions for becoming a professional human being is piety to God Almighty, namely carrying out His commands and avoiding His prohibitions. Loyal to God Almighty, the code of ethics regulations are regulated by law No. 18 of 2003 and the Indonesian Advocate Code of Ethics made by several Advocate organizations.
