Abstract
The lawyer profession has an important role in the justice system and maintaining the supremacy of law. An advocate's code of ethics is a moral guideline that regulates the behavior of advocates in carrying out their duties. The problem of this research is that it focuses on the Regional Honorary Council, as a supervisory body at the regional or regional level, and the Regional Honorary Council plays a vital role in maintaining the integrity and ethics of the legal profession. Regional Honorary Councils have an important responsibility in ensuring that Advocates comply with their code of ethics. The aim of this research is to explain the role of the Regional Honorary Council in supervising the advocate's code of ethics, including establishing and updating the code of ethics, investigations, enforcing the code of ethics, and also briefly understanding the technicalities of the trial of the advocate's code of ethics, as well as education and training of advocates regarding the code of ethics. In addition, this research identified a number of challenges faced by the Regional Honorary Council, such as conflicts of interest, external pressure, and limited resources. The Regional Honorary Council is obliged to monitor and ensure that violations of the code of ethics are handled seriously. Effective monitoring of the advocate code of ethics by the Regional Honorary Council has a positive impact on ethical legal practice, maintaining the integrity of the advocate legal profession, and increasing public confidence in the justice system. The results of this research show that the Regional Honorary Council is an important element in maintaining the ethics of the legal profession, especially the advocate profession, and carries out an important role in maintaining the advocate's code of ethics carefully and fairly in maintaining the dignity and integrity of the legal profession of advocates and advocate organizations.
