The purpose of this study is to analyze conflicts that violate human rights that occur in people in Papua. This research method is to use library research with a qualitative approach with case studies to obtain descriptive data, data collection in this study is by conducting a literature study. In some articles or news, there is much discussion about the conflict in Papua. From the past until now, the government has increased security in Papua by sending several security forces, such as the Military and the Police. Instead of making Papua safe, the number of victims in Papua continues to increase, both civilians and security forces. The Indonesian government has attempted to strengthen Papuan status and identity. The results of this study show that until 2022 there will still be many cases of human rights violations occurring in Papua. The Central Government of the State of Indonesia is labeled as having failed to build peace and prosperity in the Papua Region.
