HAK DAN KEWAJIBAN DALAM PERSPEKTIF HUKUM ALAM: ANALISIS PEMIKIRAN HUGO GROTIUS

Abstract
This study aims to articulate the position of Natural Law Theory within the framework of International Law, which is regarded by the international community as a binding legal order. Furthermore, it explores the ethical and moral foundations that underpin the recognition and acceptance of international law by global society. Employing a normative juridical approach, this research examines how the principles of natural law, particularly those developed by Hugo Grotius, may serve as a foundational basis for the formulation of legal norms governing both social and international relations. The findings reveal that Grotius' philosophical framework underscores the existence of inherent human rights and the corresponding obligation to respect those rights as essential to maintaining harmony within societies and fostering peaceful relations among nations.
