Abstract

: Marriage is a way of life for humans by asking for the grace of God Almighty to obtain a happy and prosperous family. Marriage is a bond between a man and a woman. Judging from the socio-religious situation in Indonesia, this may be the initial cause of a problem, for example interfaith marriages. This means that the bride and groom have different beliefs such as Islam and Christianity and want to get married. The problem that arises is that those who want to get married find it difficult to obtain a marriage declaration form from the appropriate service. Many people end up changing religions to one of the prospective bride's religions and returning to their original religion after the wedding. This problem is increasingly increasing in people who view this as playing with their religion. Therefore, the government must review the concept of marriage and the laws and regulations related to it. Because Indonesia is a Muslim-majority country, many people say that interfaith marriages are unacceptable. Likewise, marriage candidates also question their rights, one of which is marriage.
